BLACK PLAGUE AS A NATURAL METHOD OF POPULATION CONTROL

Throughout the history of mankind there have been many events that decreased population by natural causes. There have been famines, floods, wars, earthquakes, disease, and volcano eruptions, to name a few. This paper will focus on plague, specifically, the Black Plague which destroyed half of the European population during the Middle Ages.

When population gets too high, natural forces have a way of lowering the population. This epidemic is a classic example of this.
