GIANT PANDAS

ACTIVITIES:

1. Study the pages where the author talks about whether Giant Pandas are related to bears or to raccoons or just to their own family. Make up your mind about which is true and explain the reasons for your choice in writing a paragraph.

2. Write why the panda is such a popular animal compared to other animals and describe this in a paragraph.

3. Blow up a balloon and cover it with strips of paste and paper to make a Giant Panda's head, add ears, and paint.

4. Write a letter to the World Wildlife Fund at the address given on the last page of the book. Ask for information on what you can do to help to save the Giant Panda.
