OWLS IN THE FAMILY

ACTIVITIES:

1. Compare and contrast Wol and Weeps in a paragraph. How are they alike and different?

2. Think of the many things Wol does and the ways he acts that are more human than owlish. Which of these things is the most surprising to you? Discuss this in a paragraph.

3. Make a diagram of the area around Billy's house. Include such places as the prairie, the cave, the school, and the owl's pen. Write a sentence about each location, telling something that happened there.

4. Draw and color pictures of Wol and Weeps. Make your pictures to scale, showing the size difference between the two owls. Make the colors and details just as they are described.
