ACTIVITIES:
1. Define different life stages and write the advantages
and disadvantages of each in a paragraph.
2. Prepare good questions, interview a
family member about a particular stage in life, and write a
summary of the interview for your Life Stages
Booklet.
3. Take photos, make drawings, or cut
pictures from magazine to represent each stage of ife. Use
the examples you collect to illustrate your
booklet.
4. Survey your classmates and tally how many students
agree with Heather and how many think she was being silly. Report your
results on a colorful graph.
5. Write a letter and pretend you are
Dorelle, Rosa Rita, or Mrs. Fitz. Write a letter to Heather
persuading her to have her birthday.
6. Heather must think that turning 10 will be unpleasant.
List what you think Heather fears about growing older in a paragraph.
