ACTIVITIES:
1. Write a paragraph about what characteristics made John stronger than life? Tell how he used these characteristics to help people on his travels.
2. Make a list of the things in the story that don't seem possible at all.
3. Create and design an award to honor John Henry after his death. Prepare a speech and present it and the award to the class as a tribute to him.
4. John Henry was a legend in the 1800's. Make a list of other ways he might have used his strength and speed to help out today with modern problems.
