IF YOU WERE A HUNTER

OF FOSSILS

ACTIVITIES:

1. Studying fossils is one way to learn about life long ago. Write a paragraph about how else we can learn what life was like then.

2. Think of where you live and how it might have looked a million years ago. Include who or what lived there and write about it in a paragraph..

3. Write a work report imagining that you are a fossil hunter working a 1,000 years from today. What fossils do you think they would discover from today's world?

4. Look carefully at the pictures in the book. Then paint or draw a picture of a fossil treasure that you would like to find and write a caption about it.
