HOT AIR HENRY

ACTIVITIES:

1. Write a paragraph about if you found yourself along in a balloon like Henry, would you try to keep going or try to land the balloon and why?

2. How can you explain that The Man is not angry with him when he finally lands the balloon? Write this explanation in a paragraph.

3. Blow up a balloon. Put it over a heater in the classroom. What happens? Find out why some balloons do float away. You may decorate the balloon, too.

4. Look at the illustrations to see how trees, cars, and people looked to Henry from the balloon up high. Draw Henry's (aerial) view of your neighborhood from the air. Include your house, school, trees, and other important sights.
