HOMER PRICE

ACTIVITIES:

1. Which is the most exciting or clever solution for fixing machines in the story? Write a paragraph about what happened in the story and why you chose this as the most clever solution.

2. Centerburg is a small town, and these stories took place about 40 years ago. How might these stories be different today? Choose one story and think how the characters might act or talk differently and how the ending might change. Write about it.

3. Make a model of one of the Enders' estate homes. Use cardboard and glue or a shoebox. Paint the home inside and out and add furniture and a yard.

4. In the "Doughnuts" story, remind yourself how the lost diamond bracelet and Homer's quick thinking saved the day. Come up with a list of other ways Homer and Uncle Ulysses could have gotten rid of those mountains of doughnuts.
