ACTIVITIES:
1. Write a paragraph explaining why you think that for thousands of years people have enjoyed telling and hearing stories about heroes, warriors, gods, and monsters? You may give examples, as well.
2. In these stories state one problem solved by your favorite character in these stories and and why it worked. Write this in a paragraph.
3. Choose one of the stories. Draw at least 3 colored pencil or crayon sketches to show events or characters in the story. Add captions to your pictures.
4. Imagine you are interviewing one of the heroes or heroines from this book. List 5 questions you would ask that person and then write their answers. Perform this in front of the class with a volunteer. Costumes or props are appropriate.
