ACTIVITIES:
1. Draw or paint a favorite scene from your life right
now. Be like Grandma Moses and include lots of artistic details.
2. Ask some adults that you know to talk about their
favorite memories from childhood. Write down their memories and share
them with you classmates.
3. Put on a skit that shows a typical
day for children living 50 years from now when you may be a
grandparent. Write a script to go with the
skit.
4. Draw or paint a scene from Grandma Moses's life.
You may paint yourself into the picture, too!
5. Write a letter as if you were Grandma Moses and
send it to one of "your" children. Talk about the paintings
you are working on now.
6. Write a poem about one of Grandma
Moses's paintings that appears in the book.
