ACTIVITIES:
1. How was life different for the cat in each of these
places: where he was called Tootsy-Wootsy; Snowshoes; Max; Mistletoes;
no name at all? Write a paragraph explaining this.
2. Why do you think the black cat with white paws
and six toes on each foot cared so much about finding a name for himself?
What name would you have given him? Why? Discuss this in a paragraph.
3. Find pictures of cats in magazines or newspapers.
Cut out the pictures and paste them on a large sheet of paper. Give a
different name to each cat.
4. The author of this story named her book "Cat
Walk." Make a list of other titles she might have used and tell why.
